I tried to connect the DDS 60 to the 80m version of the Softrock lite. I removed the cristal and connected the DDS60 via 220pF to theSoftrock. I programmed the DDS 60 to generate 8 times the needed frequenty and showed on the LCD the base frequenty. It was working perfect! With the keyboard I can set the start frequenty and with the dial I can also step in 10Khz steps! Next project will be using the SI570 to generate the osc frequenty!

I use the Pic16F877A. The program is made with the mikrobasic compiler. If you want a copy of the programm and the schematics I can send it to you or I will put a file on the site!

Submitted by k5nwa on Fri, 04/04/2008 - 20:01.I have Mikrobasic installed on my machine also, and a DDS60 board so I would be interested. I would like to adapt it to the AVR CPU's using Mikrobasic.
I would think if you add them to the main article that would be the way to go, but if you don't know how to do it, then send them to me and I will add them in.
Thanks

DDS 60 Controller
Submitted by emady on Mon, 05/05/2008 - 16:20.André,
Very nice work indeed!
I have been looking for info on controlling the DDS 60 board and this is exactly what I've been looking for.
Just one question, looking at your code it seems to me that there should be a keypad connected to PortC of the 16F877A but this is not shown on the schematic, is that correct?

DDS 60 Controller
Submitted by pa0akv on Mon, 05/12/2008 - 12:26.Hello Elia thanks for your reply, indeed I also connected a keypad. It is an unuseal keypad all switches are seperated so I connected diodes to make them BCD ( 4 lines)
The software sees BCD code 0 to 15 , one code for every switch. (0000 to 1111)
If you like the schematic I will make one and send it to you.
I am now finishing a 16F877A board with display and Bandswitch buttons to controll a SI570 so I can use the DDS60 for other projects.
I looking forfard to see you reply
